Brookfield Johnson Controls Canada partners with Bullfrog Power to offer green energy as a sustainability solution for its clients

Toronto—Brookfield Johnson Controls Canada (BJCC), a real estate management services company, is now offering a green energy choice to its clients through a new partnership with Bullfrog Power®, Canada’s leading green energy provider. By choosing green energy with Bullfrog Power, BJCC’s clients will be reducing their environmental impact and supporting the development of green energy projects in Canada.

For BJCC, the partnership represents a new avenue to support its clients as stewards of the environment and an opportunity to educate and engage businesses on renewable energy.

“Brookfield Johnson Controls Canada is a supporter of clean, renewable energy with Bullfrog Power and this new partnership allows us to do even more by recommending a green energy alternative to our clients,” says Lorri Rowlandson, Senior Vice President, Financial Market Unit and Strategic Solutions, BJCC. “Living sustainably is one of our core values and through our collaboration with Bullfrog Power we can lead by example and encourage the adoption of sustainable energy choices.”

Through the agreement, BJCC will offer both Bullfrog Power’s green electricity and green natural gas options. In the case of green electricity, Bullfrog Power’s generators put 100 per cent green electricity onto the grid to match the power consumption of BJCC clients that choose to bullfrogpower their facilities. Across Canada, Bullfrog’s green electricity comes from a blend of wind and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities.

Sourced from a unique, ground-breaking methane-capture project situated on one of Canada’s thousands of landfill sites, Bullfrog’s green natural gas is a climate-friendly alternative to conventional, polluting natural gas. Through this innovative technology, biogas is captured, cleaned up, and put into the national natural gas pipeline, displacing fossil fuel-based gas and reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere

“Brookfield Johnson Controls Canada is helping customers become more sustainable and Bullfrog Power now is another tool for them in their solutions package,” Anthony Santilli, Vice President, Channels and Sales Operations, Bullfrog Power. “Brookfield Johnson Controls Canada will also be educating and engaging its clients on the impact of their energy choices.”
