Toronto, ONBullfrog Power, Canada’s leading green energy provider, and DCR Systems Group, an asset management and logistics company for computer equipment, are announcing a new environmental partnership. DCR Systems Group is choosing Bullfrog Power’s green electricity for its Richmond Hill office and green fuel to address the emissions of 50 per cent of its corporate fleet.

“DCR Systems Group is continually improving in our work to prevent pollution, from our recycling and recovery programs to our commitment to being an environmentally responsible neighbour,” said Steve Byrne, VP at DCR Systems Group. “By choosing Bullfrog Power’s green energy, we’re reducing our emissions footprint for both the operations of our office and corporate fleet.”

Through the agreement, Bullfrog Power’s generators put 100 per cent clean, pollution-free electricity onto the grid to match the amount of conventional power that DCR Systems Group’s Richmond Hill office uses. Across Canada, Bullfrog Power’s green electricity comes from a blend of wind and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities.

In addition, Bullfrog Power ensures that renewable fuel is injected into the Canadian fuel system to match the amount of conventional fuel that half of DCR Systems Group’s corporate fleet uses, litre-for-litre. Bullfrog Power’s green fuel is an earth-friendly, renewable alternative to fossil fuel, enabling climate-conscious businesses in Canada to reduce the environmental impact of their transportation.  Bullfrog Power sources from biodiesel producers that repurpose waste streams from food and feed manufacturing, and cooking oils from restaurants and kitchen facilities.

“By choosing green energy with Bullfrog Power, DCR Systems Group is reducing the environmental impacts of its electricity use and transportation. And, through Bullfrog’s community renewable projects program, they are supporting the development of community-based green energy projects across the country,” said Anthony Santilli, VP Sales and Marketing, Bullfrog Power.

Bullfrog Power, through its community renewable projects program, has supported more than 70 green energy projects across Canada. Recently launched Bullfrog Power community projects include solar on Kew Beach Junior Public School in Toronto and Canada’s first solar park in Vulcan, Alberta.
