If you’re looking for a more sustainable craft beer in the Maritimes, you have a new option because Garrison Brewing’s Seaport Market Brewery is now bullfrogpowered with renewable electricity.

Starting June 1, Garrison, an award-winning, independent microbrewery selling craft beer throughout the Maritimes and beyond, is choosing Bullfrog Power’s green electricity for its Seaport Market Brewery.

Through the agreement, Bullfrog Power is ensuring that its generators put 115 MWh of green power onto the grid to match the amount of conventional electricity the brewery uses. Across Canada, Bullfrog’s green electricity comes from a blend of wind and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities.

“By supporting clean, renewable electricity with Bullfrog for our market brewery, retail store and events space we’re both reducing our energy-related environmental impact and supporting the development of new community-based renewable energy projects,” said Brian Titus, President and General Manager of Garrison Brewing. “We’re proud to be joining the bullfrogpowered community of sustainable brewers from across Canada at this year’s Canadian Brewing Awards.”

If you’ll be in Ottawa from May 25 to 27, meet Brian and Mark from Garrison and representatives from many of Bullfrog Power’s brewing partners at the 2017 Canadian Brewing Awards & Conference (CBAC).

This year’s CBAC is also bullfrogpowered with clean, renewable energy. Attendees can check out the panel on environmental stewardship, featuring Garrison’s Mark Obermaier, as well as a keynote by Steve Beauchesne of bullfrogpowered Beau’s All Natural Brewing.
