10 ways to have the greenest BBQ ever

There’s nothing better than a summer BBQ—it’s the perfect way to bring family and friends together to enjoy good food and drinks while spending time outdoors. Check out our tips below to make your next BBQ a greener one:

  1. Turn your air conditioning down or off while you’re outdoors. You’ll conserve energy and be able to enjoy the sounds of nature rather than the hum of your air conditioner.
  2. Opt for sustainably-sourced meats. Or, try swapping out half your beef burgers for veggie burgers. Studies have shown that meat production is more emissions-intensive than plant agriculture.1
  3. Use locally-grown vegetables for toppings and sides.
  4. Opt for reusable or compostable plates, cutlery and glasses.
