Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) has been a staple Canadian retailer for decades, specializing in clothing, gear and services for self-propelled outdoor recreation. In signing up with Bullfrog Power in 2007, MEC continued to invest in Canada's environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions at six MEC stores. Its other initiatives include membership in "1% For the Planet", community outreach and in-store sustainability programs.
