Wal-Mart becomes Canada’s largest commercial purchaser of green power

Wal-Mart Canada has just agreed to a three-year purchase of 31,000 MWh of green, emissions-free power from Bullfrog Power to green the electricity of three of its Alberta stores.

Bullfrog Power has partnered with the Pembina Institute, a national non-profit environmental organization dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions, to promote the benefits of supporting clean, green power to Canadians.

RBC to bullfrogpower 11 Alberta branches

RBC has agreed to purchase green power for 11 Alberta branches. This green power purchase augments RBC’s existing agreement with Bullfrog through which 12 Ontario locations became bullfrogpowered.

Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut signs
on with Bullfrog

Legendary Alberta-based chocolatier Bernard Callebaut has agreed to purchase more than 1100 MWh of green power from Bullfrog annually. The chocolate factory and head office building along with five additional locations of Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut have become bullfrogpowered.

Cotton Ginny bullfrogpowers five stores

Casual clothing retailer Cotton Ginny, which launched its "Eco-Ganic" clothing line in 2006, just signed on with Bullfrog to provide green power for two Alberta and three Ontario stores.

In May 2007, the Government of Ontario announced several steps to reduce Ontario emissions, including switching to deep lake water cooling at Queen’s Park and signing on with Bullfrog Power for the Ministry of the Environment’s head office.
