Attention Grade 5 Students in Mississauga! Want to win a trip for you and your class to the Ontario Science Centre?

The City of Mississauga wants to teach people about renewable energy - and they want your help. Get together with a group of your classmates and design a website all about renewable energy. The creators of the best website will win a trip to the Ontario Science Centre for their whole class AND Mayor Hazel MCallion will visit their school!

Your website should teach about sources of renewable energy AND one or more of the following things:

how energy from renewable sources compares to energy from non-renewable sources
how renewable energy is being used here in Mississauga, in the rest of Canada, and/or around the world
how we use energy - at school, at home, at work, etc...
technology involved in creating and using renewable energy
another topic linked to renewable energy (needs to be okayed by your teacher)

Don't forget:

Use your own words to share the information you find
All the info on your site needs to be checked by your teacher
Sites can include any type of content (text, photos, illustrations, videos, etc...) - your goal is to make learning about renewable energy fun!
