Objective
As the Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing this position will be responsible for creation and ongoing management of a fully integrated sales and marketing organization that focuses on our small to mid sized commercial customers. Creating a strong pipeline of prospective customers, managing multiple partnerships and sales channels and delivering a wide range of communications and customer focused programs will all be crucial to the success of the role. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations this position will work closely with all members of the senior management team.
Specific responsibilities
- Develop strategies for the scalable growth and stability of your target segment across Canada
- Champion new customer acquisition, marketing and client delivery capabilities through effective leadership and standard methodologies
- Promote highly scalable marketing and communication initiatives across a broad range of customer profiles to build awareness and drive customer acquisition
- Leverage technology solutions including CRM and database tools to maximize communications reach and streamline operations
- Maintain existing partner relationship and seek out new and exciting cross-functional partnership opportunities
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, cost models and profitability results
- Increase year-over-year customer satisfaction and client retention
- Create corporate call centre and educational expertise within the organization
- Work closely with the corporate marketing group to ensure all communications align with brand and to implement effective customer acquisition and retention programs
- Establish and implement short-term and long-term divisional goals and objectives, policies and operating procedures
- Represent the Company at various business events and functions
- Cooperate with the Strategic Accounts sales and marketing group
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Possess 3-5 years of equivalent experience in Marketing or related field
- Proven success in a senior Marketing, Sales or Business Development roles in a retail environment
- Proven ability to establish strong client relationships at various levels of the organization
- Knowledge and experience with structuring sales quotas, managing sales pipelines and resulting revenue expectations
- Ability to lead, develop and engage management employees
- Leadership skills in driving process improvements, policy and automation
- Experience in database marketing and CRM-driven pipeline management
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work independently
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a passion for environmental issues, the ability to identify with customers, a team player approach
