RBC Increases Support for Clean, Renewable Power
11 RBC Royal Bank branches to be bullfrogpowered™ in Alberta
Calgary, June 5, 2007 — Bullfrog Power™, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, today announced that 11 RBC Royal Bank branches in Alberta will be bullfrogpowered. This green power purchase, announced in conjunction with Bullfrog Power’s official launch in Alberta, augments RBC’s existing green power agreement with Bullfrog through which 12 Ontario locations became bullfrogpowered. The new Alberta agreement further reinforces RBC’s position among the major commercial green power purchasers nationwide.
By choosing Bullfrog Power for 11 Alberta RBC Royal Bank branches, RBC advances its ongoing commitment to reduce its environmental impact by supporting renewable energy sources. RBC, a recognized global leader in sustainable business practices, was among the first financial institutions in Canada to purchase green power and is active in financing companies in the alternative energy sector in Canada and internationally.
Bullfrog Power is a leading Canadian provider of clean, green power. In Alberta, Bullfrog Power sources power exclusively from local wind power generators that meet or exceed the federal government’s Environmental ChoiceM Program EcoLogoM standard for renewable electricity.
