Cotton Ginny is bullfrogpowered™
Clothing retailer chooses clean, green electricity from
Bullfrog Power™
for five Canadian stores
Calgary, June 5, 2007 — Bullfrog Power, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, today announced that Cotton Ginny has joined the growing list of Canadian businesses and organizations that have become bullfrogpowered by agreeing to purchase clean, renewable power for five Canadian stores.
Bullfrog Power is a leading provider of 100 per cent green electricity. Bullfrog provides homes and businesses in Alberta and Ontario with an easy way to go green and help create a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations. All of Bullfrog’s power comes from clean, renewable sources like wind power and low-impact water power that displace polluting and carbon-intensive sources like coal. Bullfrog sources power exclusively from generators that have received Environment Canada’s Environmental ChoiceM Program EcoLogoM certification.
Tony Chahine, CEO of Cotton Ginny, said, “At Cotton Ginny, we're very serious about our commitment to sustainability and maintaining a healthy environment. As a part of our commitment to reducing our corporate environmental footprint, we're switching to green power in three Ontario stores and two Alberta stores. Green electricity is an easy way for people to make a difference and this is just one simple way that Cotton Ginny is contributing.”
“We believe that consumers want to be able to support environmentally sensitive businesses,” said Tom Heintzman, President, Bullfrog Power. “Cotton Ginny has demonstrated a commitment to sustainability through its organic and sustainable product lines. We’re thrilled that they’ve now taken this additional step of supporting renewable power and that they are part of our expansion in Alberta.”
The following Cotton Ginny stores will be “bullfrogpowered”: Calgary, AB (Westhills Town Centre); Edmonton, AB (West Edmonton Mall); Collingwood, ON; Guelph, ON (Stone Road Mall); and North York, ON (Yorkdale Plaza).
